Content creation is a massive driving force in the growth of esports in India and today, there are several organizations that take content creators under their wing and give them a platform through which they can explore their love for gaming. One such organization is XFI Esports which has onboarded over 200. They are partnered with Xpector Esports and together, the two parties plan on recruiting 100 more content creators this month.
We asked Xpector Esports founder Rishi Roy about the selection criteria and what they look for in a streamer. “There’s no pre-determined subscriber count if they want to stream on Rooter through us. For YouTube though, they’ll need to have at least 2000 subscribers.” He adds that apart from a top-tier PC and a face cam, being respectful also comes as a primary requirement. “One of the most important qualities is their behavior, towards other streamers and their own audience. We expect Streamers to showcase a certain level of professional conduct in their streams.” Xpector Esports also handles talent management responsibilities.

The Esports League
The partnership between XFI and Xpector has also given to The Esports League, a venture through which they’ll hold daily BGMI scrims and tryouts in Valorant for underdogs.
The Esports Show
Xpector Esports has also started The Esports Show, a podcast that’ll cover a broad range of topics related to Indian esports. They already have an episode out featuring Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose as the guest.
Xpector Esports’ operations aren’t limited to India. They have expanded internationally with PUBG Mobile lineups from Oman, Ireland, and Kuwait, and while they haven’t participated in official tournaments yet, Rishi says they are ready to take on other pro teams.
In India, they have their own Valorant roster which plays under Xpector Esports Academy. It was acquired from Initiator Esports and is co-owned by Vinay Thak.
They’re also launching their website by the end of this month and it’ll feature a marketplace where they’ll sell merchandise and gaming equipment as well, owing to their partnership with Coco Sports.
