Work from home, slow development causes Kena: Bridge of Spirits to be delayed to 2021
Developed and published by Ember Lab, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an upcoming single player, action-adventure game.
The game was originally scheduled to be released in 2020 itself but it has been confirmed that Kena: Bridge of Spirits is being delayed until Q1 of 2021.
Release postponed due to coronavirus
Kena: Bridge of Spirits was revealed on June 11, 2020, at PlayStation’s Future of Gaming event. But recently, Ember Lab, the developer of Kena: Bridge of Spirits took to twitter to announce that the release has been pushed forward to 2021.
The reason for the delay was that the development of the game was moving a lot slower as the team was working from home due to the COVID19 pandemic.
“This year has brought many challenges and our transition from home has caused development to move slower than we hoped. For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Kena: Bridge of Spirits to Q1, 2021.”
The studio also adds that they want to take this time to polis and deliver a game that meets the studios vision as well as players’ expectations.
Can be played on PC, PS4 and PS5
Kena: Bridge of Souls releasing in 2021, can be played on Windows, PlayStation 4 and Playstation 5. If players purchase the PlayStation 4 version, they can transition to PlayStation 5 version for free.
