Valve has launched a new operation in their popular FPS game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Operation Riptide is CS:GO’s 11th operation and it features 16 weeks of challenges, new weapon skins, new game modes, and more.

Players will need to purchase the Operation Pass first which is priced at Rs. 1140.
Here’s what’s new with Operation Riptide
Each challenge rewards players with a certain amount of stars. These stars can be exchanged for rewards like cases, stickers, patches, and new agent skins, and more
Weapon skins and agents
With the launch of Operation Riptide, Valve has introduced the Riptide Case that contains 17 new community-designed weapon skins and Gamma Doppler knives. Additionally, they have brought the 2021 Mirage, Dust2, Vertigo, and Train collection all featuring unique weapon skins.
There are new agents up for grabs as well-
- Master Agents- 25 Stars
- Superior Agents- 10 Stars
- Exceptional Agents- 7 Stars
- Distinguished Agents- 5 Stars
Operation Riptide has brought new community maps to the game. Insertion II and Basalt have been added to official Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes, whereas Ravine and Extraction will be available in official Wingman modes. County has been added to Danger Zone.
Valve has also made a bunch of gameplay changes with this update. They have added the option to select short competitive matches (Best of 16 rounds), grenades are now droppable, body damage for Desert Eagle has been decreased and for the M4A1-S, it has been increased.
Players can now choose between Classic Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch (the first team to 100 kills wins), and Free-for-all (FFA) Deathmatch where all players are enemies. Also, the Riot Shield heavy weapon is purchasable by CTs in Casual Hostage map groups.
