Riot has released a new patch for Valorant bringing gameplay changes, updates to esports features, and bug fixes in several areas of the game. Patch 3.04 addresses the issue where Omen’s signature ability Dark Cover landed where it wasn’t intended to. Dark Cover will land exactly where the players want it to. In addition to that, there are a host of other improvements.
Patch 3.04 makes it easier on observers, with updates to a number of features and gameplay tech. Bug fixes for a few Agents like Omen and KAY/O are also included. See Patch Notes here: https://t.co/SU5EKgYY3n pic.twitter.com/C4F92rFRAg

Gameplay and esports tech updates in Valorant
The game now features improved performance stats and graphs. With this patch, Riot has added stats like packet loss breakdowns, packet send and receive rate, used/available memory, data usage, and average packet size.
Riot has also made a couple of changes related to the esports side of Valorant. Tactical timeouts will now be shown in two different colours corresponding to the team that has called it (Red for Attackers, Teal for Defenders). Observers will now see Viper’s ultimate in the minimap and correctly see Cypher’s equipped utility in his hand as well.
- Players will no longer be allowed to place other abilities on Cypher’s Cyber Cage projectile while it’s in mid-air.
- Buff/debuff timers will now show up correctly.
- Nearsight effect will be triggered correctly when a player is killed inside a smoke.
There are more bug fixes and gameplay updates introduced with Patch 3.04 and you can read the entire patch notes here.
These updates, especially the esports tech updates will make it easier for the observer to follow a professional match. Valorant is booming in India with frequent tournaments. This time, TEGC 2021 features a Valorant tournament along with Call Of Duty: Mobile and Rainbow Six Siege.
