The Steam Game festival is live now with hundreds of game demos available for free!
Over the past few weeks, the influx of good news for gamers just keeps on coming. We’ve had some amazing game announcements and a look at the next generation of consoles.
Now, the Steam Game Festival is here to brighten our days ahead and it promises some insane deals on your favourite games, an array of demos and a slew of interactive content to experience. The Steam Game Festival is on till June 22, so make the most of this!
Indie and full scale games all around
Scrolling through the ever-expanding list, it’s clear the focus here is on upcoming indie titles, but you’ll also find demos for some older classics like Heavy Rain. The event page doesn’t link to a dedicated list of every free demo, but you can use Steam’s search function to reveal the list.
Steam’s Summer Game Fest isn’t just a ton of demos; there are also several events happening every day during the event. Right now there are a few dev streams and interviews scheduled each hour for the evening, so catch them live if you’re interested in those games. Check the schedule here to see if there’s anything you want to tune in for.
This is the third time the Steam Gaming Festival is returning. Earlier, the event has had quite a successful run. The main goal of this event is to allow players a glimpse at hundreds of games for free. This gives the player an idea of the scope and boundaries of creativity when it comes to gaming.
Some games that we would recommend are Windjammers 2, Destroy All Humans! remake, Iron Harvest, and Builders of Egypt. The scores of demos are split between various genre categories for easy sorting.
