In a yearly fashion Valve operated Game and software marketplace Steam, is back with its summer sale (https://store.steampowered.com) this year featuring huge discounts and a “Forge your Fate” minigame. Gamers throughout the world look out for the summer sale as a curated bunch of games gets various DLC’s and season passes on sale. This year it went live on the 24th of June at 10 pm IST.
Discounts on Sekiro, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and more
Many AAA titles from various Developers saw price cuts, Sekiro with a 50% cut now goes for ₹1999. With the latest installment of the series already announced the PC port of Horizon: Zero Dawn The complete edition is listed at ₹659 after a 40% cut. Borderlands 3 from 2K now gets a 67% discount at ₹986. EA Dice’ Battlefield V also got a 75% discount at ₹999. 2019’s Hack & Slash title Devil May Cry now goes for ₹1399. This year’s installment of the Sports Strategy game Football Manager 2021 is now at 50% off at ₹1249.
The newly introduced Game Profiles can now be bought from the Steam store. They can be bought for 10,000 steam points from the store, it features a special Avatar, Avatar border, mini profile, and a background in one package. You can use it to add some bling and flair to your profile while maintaining a Gamery appeal.
Indie games and critically acclaimed titles, discounts galore
Well received Hack and Slash indie title Hades is now priced at ₹398. CD: Projekt Red’s flagship story-driven RPG The Witcher 3 is ₹160 after an 80% cut. Action Shooter Doom Eternal is at ₹1319 after a 67% cut. Simulation titles like Euro Truck Simulator and Tabletop simulator are priced at ₹241 and ₹282 respectively. Ori and the will of wisps got 50% off for a price of ₹349, in a similar fashion Hollow Knight was priced at ₹239. Cities: Skylines from Paradox is listed at ₹182 after a 75% cut.
Popular titles for lower prices
Popular titles from a few years ago like Detroit: Become Human were also featured for ₹949, popular Indie game title Raji: An Ancient Epic by Indian devs was listed at ₹299. The newly announced Pirates of Caribbean collab with Sea of Thieves drew in many players with more set to play the game owing to 33% discount pricing it just above 600 Rupees. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six also saw a discounted price of ₹399.
All in All, this edition of Steam sale is not going to go that easy on your wallets. With Game pass and other subscriptions coming out this would be the best time to expand your library with the biggest discounts.
