If you were awaiting the launch of Starfield or Redfall, Bethesda has a rather disappointing update for you. In their latest announcement, the publisher has announced that they’re delaying the launch of these titles to the first half of 2023 as they want more time to work on their quality.
“We’ve made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023. The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them,” Bethesda said in the announcement.

Redfall is an FPS title that was announced in June 2021 and scheduled to release in September 2022, whereas, Starfield, the space RPG, was announced in 2018 and would arrive a couple of months after Redfall in November 2022.
Both titles will be available exclusively on Windows and Xbox Series X/S. For PlayStation fans, Bethesda has an apology for Starfield being an Xbox exclusive. In November last year, Bethesda Softworks Senior VP of marketing and communication Pete Hines conveyed his sympathies towards the PS community for bringing these two titles and a few others only on Xbox consoles.
We can expect Starfield and Redfall gameplay during Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase
We know that there’s an Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase event on June 12 so there’s a good possibility we’ll get an in-depth look at the worlds of these two games. Additionally, we can expect release dates of Avowed, Fable, Contraband, Perfect Dark, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, State of Decay 3, The Outer Worlds 2, and Elder Scrolls VI.
Starfield not as mystical as Skyrim, still magical say Bethesda game developers
