Popular action-adventure and PlayStation exclusive title Ghost of Tsushima is getting a new version. On the PlayStation blog, Andrew Goldfarb, Communications Manager at Sucker Punch Productions announced that Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is releasing for PS4 and PS5 consoles on August 20.
Ghost of Tsushima originally launched for PlayStation 4 in July 2020. The Director’s Cut will include the original game, additional content that was released to date, and several new features.

New features to explore on the Iki Island
Director’s Cut enables access to Iki Island. It brings a whole new story, new characters to meet, new environments to explore, new armor for Jin and his horse, new mini-games, new techniques, and more. Additional details about Iki Island will be revealed later.
Enhanced gameplay experience for PS5 users
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PS5 will feature lip sync for English as well as Japanese voice-over. Additionally, the game will all take advantage of haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features of PS5’s DualSense controllers. Director’s Cut on PS5 will feature enhanced audio, faster load times, 4K resolution, and framerates targeting 60 FPS.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is priced at $69.99 on PS5 and $59.99 on PS4. Those who already own the PS4 version of the game will be able to pre-order the Director’s Cut for $19.99. Those who purchase the Director’s Cut on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 version for $9.99. Those who have the original game on PS4 can upgrade to the Director’s Cut on PS5 for $29.99.
