11 years after the launch of Skate 3, developers revealed some glimpses of the new and upcoming Skate 4. Fans were stoked to hear the revival of their beloved Skateboarding franchise after a teaser of Skate 4 dropped yesterday.
The minute-long video didn’t reveal any gameplay but showed some behind-the-scenes footage and teased a few features. It featured a set of gamers and influencers who got the chance to have a look at the early stages of the game. Going by their reactions, one could see that the game is going to be in line with the new-gen graphics and gameplay experience.
The teaser also showed players thrilled at the Open-World elements of the game. They were also excited at the new physics and true-to-life feel of the game. Character design customization has evolved a lot in 11 years with the launch of games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout 4, the video also teased the same level of customization with the next game.
New Studio formed for Skate 4, production still in early development
EA assembled a team of talented developers cherry-picked from various places to form a new studio, called Full Circle to work on Skate 4. The team was formed back in January and is still in the early stages of production. In an Instagram post from yesterday, the team claimed that they weren’t in their prime yet and will not take part in the upcoming EA Play event on Thursday.
“It’s still early and we are committed to doing this thing right which means it’s gonna take some time. Our number one goal is not to blow it. for you, for us…. for Skate.”
Full circle went on to say as they believe to meet the expectations of fans and critics alike while crafting the next installment of the franchise.
