Riot has released the Episode 3 update in their popular PC multiplayer game Valorant and it marks the debut of the game’s newest agent, the war-machine KAY/O. He takes up the role of initiator possesses abilities that can flash, suppress, and destroy enemies.
Q – Flash/Drive
KAY/O throws a flash grenade that explodes after a short fuse and blinds anyone in the line of sight.
E – Zero/Point
KAY/O throws a suppression blade that suppresses anyone in the radius of its explosion.
C – Frag/Ment
KAY/O throws an explosive fragment that sticks to the floor and explodes multiple times, dealing massive bursts of damage at the center with each explosion.
X – Null/Cmd
KAY/O empowers himself with radianite energy and emits energy pulses to suppress nearby enemies for a short duration.
Episode 3 new content and changes
With this update, Riot has brought several changes to the game’s existing agents and weapons. For example, cooldown time for Astra’s Nova Pulse and Gravity Well has been increased from 12 to 25 seconds, ultimate points required for Sova’s Hunter’s Fury increased to 8, cooldown time for Yoru’s Gatecrash ability has been increased to 40 seconds from the previous 35 seconds, and more.
With this update, Riot has changed walking inaccuracy for most of the weapons and also decreased the cost of Shorty, Stinger, Bucky, Marshall, Ares, Operator, and Guardian. You can read the entire patch notes here.
Give Back Bundle is available for purchase from June 22 – July 8 and it includes community-voted weapon skins and accessories. 50% of the proceeds from Weapon skins and 100% from accessories in the Give Back Bundle, will go towards the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. This update has brought a lot of bug fixes to the game as well, like the issue where spike icon pulse and beeping sound were not in sync has been fixed.
