A new season (or episode) of Valorant is around the corner, and to get players interested, Riot Games have detailed just some of the new things that will be added to the game along with Episode II of Act 2. The developers gave insights regarding new weapon skins, battle pass rewards, and, most importantly, the new controller class agent coming to the game, Astra.
With every season, players look forward to the battle pass, which nets players with rewards in the form of weapon buddies, player cards, titles, and weapon skins. This time around, the battle pass is similar to what we have seen in the past.
There are 3 skin sets to be earned this time around, and the battle pass will get you a skin for the Vandal, Operator, Ghost, Stinger, Bucky, Ares, Marshal, Sheriff, Spectre, Odin, Judge, Classic and Melee. Of these, the Vandal, Operator, Ghost, and the Bucky are part of the same Cavalier Set, while the Ares, Spectre, Marshal and Sheriff are part of the Poly Frog Set.
The remaining weapons will be part of Prism III, which will be a battle pass drop this time around. The Prism weapons will have variants. The melee weapon for the set is an axe, which you can deck out in one of 4 colours.
Apart from that, the battle pass will have the usual rewards that we have seen- player cards, sprays, Radianite points, titles, gun buddies. The final melee rewards is an axe, for which you can purchase variants using Radianite points.
Ahead of the Episode II launch which is expected to come next week, the developers also detailed other additions to the game. The most prominent addition is the new Agent, who is a controller and goes by the name Astra. The developers have also confirmed her abilities- which include smokes, a stun and a slow.
