After the closed beta in January, Resident Evil RE: Verse is getting an open beta next month from April 7 – April 11. RE: Verse is the multiplayer element that will be added to the upcoming survival game Resident Evil Village.
The open beta will be live on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam), and players who have the beta version downloaded from the closed beta, will only have to update the game once the open beta is launched. New players can join in the multiplayer action by pre-loading the open beta from April 5.

Resident Evil multiplayer comes with a twist
In RE: Verse, players can choose from popular RE characters like Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, and Hunk to engage in gory, high-octane action deathmatch across various locations. Here’s the fun part- once you are taken down, you’ll respawn as a powerful bioweapon. You can collect virus samples throughout the match and the more samples you collect, the more powerful bioweapon you will become.
RE: Verse will be launched as the multiplayer component of Resident Evil Village on May 7. The game will be available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia. Pre-orders for RE Village are live on the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam. We know the download size of RE Village on Xbox and PlayStation consoles and recently, Capcom revealed the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for the game.
Earlier this month, AMD announced that they partnered with Capcom to bring ray-tracing to RE Village.
