Last month during their showcase event, Capcom revealed Resident Evil Village’s Winter Expansion scheduled to release on October 28. It will contain a new DLC, third-person mode, and The Mercenaries Additional Orders mode.
While the DLC focuses on Ethan’s daughter Rose, The Mercenaries Additional Orders mode brings three new playable characters- Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu, each with a unique skill set. In the latest PlayStation blog, Capcom talks more about these characters.

RE Village Mercenaries Additional Orders mode new characters and their skills
A heavily armed character that, when his Onslaught Gauge is full, can unleash the onslaught mode. In this mode, his movement speed, reload speed, and attack damage are increased. Using the Straight Punch will significantly boost the Onslaught Gauge as well.
Karl wields a huge hammer and also possesses the ability to control magnetic forces. He can activate a magnetic field to pull enemies closer and swing his hammer to charge electricity and then slam it on the ground to deal massive damage. A Soldat Jet can also be summoned to deal heavy damage.
The iconic Lady Dimitrescu is now a playable character who uses her razor-sharp talons to slice through enemies. Her Thrill Gauge increases by attacking enemies or by using the “Lady’s Lipstick” item and as it increases, her movement speed and nail damage increase, and new moves are unlocked as well. When the gauge is full, her damage is at the maximum and it’ll also enable her to summon one of her daughters on the battlefield.
Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose DLC and third-person mode
The Winter Expansion is also bringing Resident Evil Village’s first DLC- Shadows of Rose. It’s set 16 years after the events of the base game and follows the story of Ethan’s daughter Rose. Third-person mode, on the other hand, will allow players to experience the game from a new perspective.
