Qualcomm Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Open 2020 registrations begins in India
Qualcomm Technologies well known for designing and manufacturing Snapdragon processors had announced a Free Fire tournament back in November as the Qualcomm Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Open 2020. This tournament is only meant for Indian residents making it Qualcomm’s first-ever esports event in India.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Open 2020 will be a three-month long tournament where Free Fire teams from all over the country will face off against each other for a prize pool of INR 50,00,000.
The registrations of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Open 2020 kick off today and here’s everything you need to note before registering.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon Conquest Free Fire Open 2020 is open for Indian residents only who are above the age of 12, subject to applicable terms and eligibility criteria including possessing a Garena Free Fire account above level 10.
Players who wish to participate will be required to form a four-member squad and can invite their friends or join other teams to do the same.
Prize Pool Distribution
As mentioned earlier the tournament has a total prize pool of INR 50,00,000 and will be distributed in the following manner:
1st Place- 20,00,000
2nd Place- INR 8,00,000
3rd Place- INR 5,00,000
The tournament will also reward individual efforts:
Team with the highest kills in the Grand Finale – INR 1,00,000
Individual with the highest kills in the Grand Finale – INR 50,000
The Most Valuable Player Award (Fan vote) – INR 50,000
The Most Popular Team Award (Fan vote) – INR 1,00,000
Formants and Rounds
The three-month-long tournament will commence with the In-game Qualifiers that will take place over a period of 6 days where participating teams will be required to play 15 classic matches in the community favorite Bermuda and Kalahari maps out of which top 10 performances will be considered.
Amidst a tie, total squad kills, survival time and accuracy, among many other parameters, will be considered. A total of 648 teams will progress to the Playoffs.
In the playoffs, the 648 teams will be divided in 54 groups and teams will be subjected to direct single-match eliminations through 3 rounds. The top 4 from each group consisting of 216 teams will advance to round 2 and will be further divided into 18 groups, out of which again, the top 4 from each group made up of 72 top teams will qualify for round 3.
The final playoff round will consist of a total of 18 matches and the teams will be divided into 6 groups. The Top 3 teams from each group will then qualify for the next phase.
The best 18 teams from the playoffs along with 6 invited teams will advance to the ‘League Stages’: a grueling four weeks long match schedule that will be held in a round-robin format, where each competitor will, in turn, face every other competing team.
The 12 best performing teams in the League Stages will compete over two days in the Snapdragon Conquest: Free fire Open 2020 Grand Finale. The squad with the highest cumulative score will be crowned the Free Fire Open 2020 Champions.
