PUBG Mobile Lite re-launch uncertain as PUBG Corp avoids revealing more details
On September 2, PUBG Mobile was banned by the Government of India. The ban order was imposed as complaints were received from various sources that talked about Tencent- the developer of PUBG Mobile stealing and transferring user data in an unauthorized manner to servers which were located outside of India.
Along with PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Lite which is an official lightweight version of PUBG Mobile meant for low-spec mobile devices was also banned.
Yesterday, PUBG Corporation, creator of Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) in a press release, announced that PUBG Mobile will be coming back to India in a new form that caters to maintaining privacy at all times and developing healthy gaming environment amongst Indian players. They also shared their plans about investing about over $100 million to cultivate the local video game, esports, entertainment, and IT industries.
However, in the release PUBG Corporation did not mention anything about the comeback of PUBG Mobile Lite. PUBG Mobile Lite users have been left confused due to this and want answers regarding the future of the game.

Why is PUBG Mobile Lite a big deal in India?
As mentioned earlier, PUBG Mobile Lite is a lightweight version of PUBG Mobile that is meant for less powerful phones. Not everyone in India can afford a flagship smartphone to enjoy a smooth PUBG experience. Hence Tencent decided to roll out a lightweight version that does not require a lot of processing power which enabled PUBG fans who owned budget or low-end smartphones to enjoy a smooth PUBG experience.
Hence fans are expecting an update from PUBG Corporation and it’s parent company Krafton about the comeback of PUBG Mobile Lite to India.
