PUBG Mobile gamer turned YouTuber Madan Kumar nabbed, fans campaign on Twitter
PUBG gamer turned YouTuber Madan Kumar was arrested from Dharmapuri by the cybercrime wing of Chennai police. A native of Salem, Madan used to run his channels Madan and the controversial “Toxic Madan” from Chennai.
This came in after the cyber division received around 160 reports on Madan for using obscene language against women and minors. Madan got popular on Youtube playing PUBGM on his streams with commentary. His two channels having a cumulative of 9 lakh subscribers were monitored and administered by his wife Kruthika. She was also taken under investigation by the cops and the belongings of the couple from their Chennai residence were seized.
His fans call for justice, hit trending on Twitter and other Socials
Fans of the defamed YouTuber proceeded to share his generous acts and call for his innocence on Twitter. The tag “#wesupportmadan” hit trending on Twitter India. In one such generous act, Madan can be seen donating a sum of Rupees 50,000 for the treatment of one of his fan’s ailing mother.
In a string of videos shared on Twitter Madan can be seen helping the underprivileged by providing them food during the covid crisis.
Channel suspended and Belongings Seized
Madan can be seen using Obscene language and apparent “Trash talking” on his streams on the Toxic Madan channel which was tagged 18+.
Subsequently his channel suspended, and the description can be seen with a message “Stop Playing PUBG & Concentrate on School Subjects”. His videos also have been delisted from the site.
This move came in just a few days after the launch of BGMI – Early access, the successor of the now-banned PUBGM. The YouTuber had been keeping a low profile online since last week. He has been taken under investigation and has been booked under Sections 509, 294 (b) of the IPC, and other sections of the IT Act. With a plea for bail being rejected by the Madras High Court, further investigations are being made into the involvement of other women who were heard on his streams.
