The Bangladeshi High Court ordered the authorities to ban the smartphone games Free Fire and PUBG Mobile on August 16, citing the detrimental effects of addiction and in-game spending. The Ministry of Bangladesh Posts and Telecommunications (BTRC) issued an order removing the titles from Bangladeshi internet space for three months in response to this directive.
