PUBG Mobile’s latest update, version 1.6 went live on the 14th of this month. Like every other update, the latest update brings brand-new exciting gameplay modes, along with the re-release of previous fan-favourite modes. Below, we shall provide a lowdown of the new gameplay mode being brought into the game for the first time, as well as take a look at all the OG modes that are being brought back into the game.
Update 1.6 – PUBG Mobile
Rejuvenate your health in the gameplay mode ‘Flora Menace’
The latest update of PUBG Mobile is to fascinate its fans, as PUBG Mobile has brought back something unique with the release of its latest update. What makes this update really special is that PUBG Mobile brought back the unique concept of ‘aerial gameplay‘ back with this update, albeit in a different form. This particular feature present in the new update already makes it a runaway success among the fans of the game. Aerial mode was first introduced into the game by developers of PUBG Mobile with the release of the ‘Ancient Secret‘ mode in PUBG Mobile.
The particular way the ‘Flora Menace‘ mode differs from that of ‘Ancient Secret‘ is that upon ejecting from the plane, one could land directly onto the platform that had appeared over Erangel map. The skirmishes that took place on the floating platform was part of the actual gameplay and there was no other way onto the platform other than landing directly into it for some intense early skirmishes.
The ‘Flora Menace‘ mode differs in this manner that during the duration of the match, a spaceship of the Yarilo alien species titled the ‘Cell Matrix‘ arrives onto the Erangel map, and the players are transported onto the platform. Amidst your battle royale game, you can take part in some good old TDM-style gunfights. Replicating the features like health regeneration and limited re-spawn faculty of three times, it makes for an exhilarating and unique addition to the battle royale experience of PUBG Mobile.
One very different thing being done by PUBG Mobile with this update is this that in the time span that this new season update lasts, the alien plant species of Yarilo shall be invading the other maps in the game too – that of Livik and Sanhok. This is the first time that the developers of the gaming title have brought about this change to the thematic gameplay experience in all maps of the game, in order to make sure that no one player misses out on all of the new fun.
Depending on the number of gunfights you survive on the Yarilo spaceship, you earn a certain amount of in-match currency which provide you with some exclusive weapon drops and protective gear equipment which shall help you survive the other skirmishes on your way to victory. The skirmishes continue for a limited number of time on the Yarilo spaceship hovering above the ground, and the player is ejected from the spaceship once it ‘docks’.
Re-release of OG gameplay modes in the game
Things just get better and more promising for fans of the game, as along with introducing the really unique mode of Flora Menace into the game, the developers are re-launching seven different unique modes from previous updates into the game, which shall make provide for a wholesome gaming experience, and nostalgia shall be high among the players who have been witness to gameplay in these uniquely-themed modes.

Though, Vikendi as of yet isn’t returning into the game as a permanent map, for in this mode, Vikendi shall be released into the game as a time-limited mode from 8th October to 15th November.
