The PlayStation Network (PSN), Sony’s own online gaming and media delivery service for PS consoles’ server has been down for more than 24 hours. According to a few Site tracking sources, the network reported a maximum number of issues at 8 PM IST on February 27, while issues have started to appear from February 26. Sony has also updated its website saying, “You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features.” The PlayStation website is unresponsive since February 28 morning.
PSN is now down with a major outage. Online gaming on PS5 is also down, due to this outage. Many Playstation 5 players have reported this issue on Twitter, earlier yesterday.
No solution has been found to fix this issue from the user side. You can sign in to the PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store, but online gaming doesn’t appear to work on some games. Sony says “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”
PlayStation Network is a digital media entertainment service and owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was Launched in November 2006. PSN was originally meant only for the PlayStation video game consoles, but soon it was extended to encompass smartphones, tablets, Blu-ray players, and high-definition televisions.
