Nintendo today announced that their 50 minute Nintendo Direct presentation will be live-streamed today, February 17, at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET, and on February 18, at 3.30 AM IST. The news was announced on Nintendo’s official Twitter handle.
It will focus on Nintendo’s fighting game for Nintendo Switch– Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and other games coming to the console in the first half of 2021. This will be a proper Nintendo Direct presentation after the company held several Nintendo Direct mini’s last year.
You can catch today’s live-stream here.
Upcoming Nintendo Switch games
There isn’t much to go on as what to expect from this Nintendo Direct but we do know few games that are coming on Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2021. Monther Hunter Rise, which was announced last year and battle-royale game Apex Legends will be available on Nintendo Switch from March 2021 followed by Pokemon Snap in April. Fans can also expect an announcement on Bayonetta 3 which is under development exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo also has The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel under development but there is no release date or title for that game yet. Original Breath of the Wild came out in 2017.
Meanwhile, March 1 marks the day of closing of the Nintendo x Next Level Games acquisition deal. These companies have previously worked together on titles like Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Super Mario Strikers Charged, and Luigi’s Mansion.
It is unlikely that Nintendo will have anything to say on that front but you never know, they might announce a new Luigi’s Mansion game or additional content for already existing ones.
