CD Projekt Red is due to publish its annual earnings that were consolidated for the financial year 2020 on April 22, but they decided to give an early sneak peek of their performance on their official Twitter account that is focused mainly on investors. The preview shows estimated sales revenue of 2,139 million PLN which is roughly around $563 million USD with a projected net profit of 1,154 million PLN which is around $304 million USD.
That is way higher than their previous years records. To compare with, after the release of The Witcher 3 back in 2015, CD Projekt earned 789 million PLN which is equivalent to $210 million USD in revenue while the net profit was 342 million PLN that is $90 million USD.
Though these record profits are not very surprising, as one of their creations, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to earn back their entire cost of marketing and eight years of development on the day of its release, while we also witnessed the biggest PC launch that has ever taken place in the history. Though, Cyberpunk faced a lot of problems during their launch, and it is yet unavailable on the PlayStation Store ever since it was removed from the store back in December 2020 which is said to be reflected upon the business CD Projekt will be making further this year.

In reply to this, the SVP of Business development Michal Nowakowsk from CD Projekt said in a recently launched strategy update video that no new game from CD Projekt will be marketed until they are 'much closer' to their official release as a lesson learned from Cyberpunk 2077.
