Days after Infinity Ward announced the release date for Modern Warfare 2, new artwork for the game popped up on Steam which has got fans speculating that COD titles might return to Valve’s storefront. As spotted by Reddit user Kalinine, the artwork shows the COD series’ iconic character Ghost on a banner with the words “Explore the full franchise.” Kalinine says the artwork was found at the bottom of the DLC page for some Call of Duty games like Black Ops 3. It has since been removed and replaced by a blank image.
Call of Duty: WWII was the last COD game to appear on Steam in 2017 as the publishers then opted for Battle.net exclusivity. For now, the return of COD titles on Steam is just speculation and we’ll know more only after an official word from the publishers.
