Max Payne 3’s iconic soundtrack is in works for a 10 year anniversary edition as announced by Industrial band Health and Rockstar games. The soundtrack will be available digitally and on vinyl later this year.
What is the Max Payne 3 Anniversary Edition?
The third-person shooter had its 10 year anniversary on May 15 and to celebrate the occasion; a special edition of the game’s original soundtrack is being released later this year. This latest edition of soundtrack will feature tracks from the original game but will also debut previous unreleased tracks as well. There is no fixed released date as of yet, but it will be available digitally. For gamers who like to collect vinyl, there is a limited edition on the way too.
“When we began work on the Max Payne 3 score we could not have predicted the momentous effect it would have on the trajectory of our band and the music we make,” said Health, the band, in a statement. “Now, 10 years on, we are still as proud as ever to be part of the story.”
Rockstar seem to be focused on Max Payne for now as remakes for the first two Max Payne games from Control developer Remedy Entertainment are in the works. There don’t seem to be any plans for the remake of Max Payne 3
Remedy have kept themselves quite busy for now as the developer recently announced a Nintendo Switch port of Alan Wake will be arriving this year. The developers are also working on Alan Wake 2 which is said to be a more of a survival and horror style game than its predecessor.
