“Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity”, a prequel to “Breath of the Wild” releases on 20th November

The long-awaited prequel to “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”-“Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity” is set to release on 20 November 2020.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the best selling games of all time. As of 2020, it has sold over 20 million copies making it one of the best selling Zelda games. It was also the Game of the Year in 2017.

A ‘Link’ to the past

Nintendo announced that the prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, will be releasing on 20 November 2020.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity takes place 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild and takes us through the great calamity that led to the world of Breath of the WIld as we know it.

The original Hyrule Warriors which came out in 2014, was an instant hit with a sale of over 1 million copies in just a few months time. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity combines the gameplay of the original Hyrule Warriors and dialogue and the open world from Breath of the Wild.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is developed by Koei Tecmo Games and Omega Force and is published by Koei Tecmo in Japan and by Nintendo worldwide.

Sequel to take a little longer

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is all set to be launched on November 20th, 2020 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. Another update about the game is expected later this month.

As for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was teased last year, producer of Legend of Zelda series, Eiji Aonuma says, “you’ll have to wait a bit longer.”
