Hyderabad Nawabs emerged victorious with 73 points at yesterday’s Free Fire City Open (FFCO) 2021 national finals, narrowly beating team Delhi Titans who placed second with 72 points.

The winning team of Hyderabad Nawabs featured the following players-
They took home the largest share of Rs. 15,00,000 from the total Rs. 60,00,000 prize pool. Having placed second, Delhi Titans won Rs. 7,50,000. Lucknow Tigers secured third place with 70 points and won Rs. 5,00,000.
Despite the win, there was no player from Hyderabad Nawabs in the MVP standings. MVP of the Free Fire City Open 2021 was Swastik from Mumbai Strikers with 11 kills and 4527 damage at the end of the finals. Swastik will take home Rs. 1,00,000 for his feat.
FFCO 2021 format
The Free Fire City Open 2021 was a one-of-a-kind tournament featuring teams from 8 regions of the country- Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, and Visakhapatnam. Teams that were not from the 8 selected regions participated in the tournament as wildcard entries.
Qualifiers for FFCO 2021 were played between April 26 and April 30. From there, the top 12 teams from the 8 select regions moved on to the City Finals that were played between June 15 – July 9, whereas the top 12 wildcard entry teams qualified for the wildcard finals.
The winner of each City Final secured a place in the National Finals whereas 2nd – 4th place winners entered the City play-ins. From there, the top 6 qualified for the City play-ins finals that were played on July 30. The top 2 teams from City play-ins finals as well as wildcard finals joined the 8 teams in the National Finals.
National Finals thus featured a total of 12 teams that battled against each other in 6 matches across Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari.
