Here’s what you need to know about WB. Games Montreal Studios upcoming game- Gotham Knights
At the DC Fandome event that was taking place last Saturday and Sunday, DC announced two new games. One of these games is being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal Studio while the other game is in the works by Rocksteady Studios.
The two new games are Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Since Gotham Knights is the game that will come earlier, we have 7 minutes of gameplay footage. So, here’s what you need to know about the game.
Gotham Knights will feature an array of iconic Batman characters
One thing that readers must know is that in the setting of this game, Bruce Wayne, also the masked vigilante known as Batman is no more. Gotham is now in the hands of the Bat Family.
This provides the developers with the opportunity to tell the story from the view of 4 characters. You can choose any of these characters from the Bat Family- Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl or Red Hood. Each of these characters have unique traits and abilities.
This ties into the story well because as the trailer suggests, Gotham’s underworld criminals are now starting to take over following the death of the Batman.

Although it feels like it’s been years since we started hearing rumors about a new Warner Bros. Batman game, it’s only just been officially revealed. A release date as early as next year is a positive sign that development is well underway, if not nearing completion.
The gameplay footage we got at DC Fandome was from a pre-alpha build, and even so, it looked quite promising. Interestingly, Rocksteady gave no gameplay for their upcoming title, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which will come out in 2022.
