The PUBG MOBILE Global Championship Season Zero tournament has been announced and it will kick off in late November. So, here’s everything else you need to know about PUBG MOBILE Global Championship.
PUBG MOBILE Global Championship announced with a prize pool of $2M
This year, PMGC is sponsored by Qualcomm Technologies and the prize pool is $2 million. Players from all regions including America, Europe, Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and China, can participate.
The ongoing 16 Club Opens (PMCO) and seven Pro Leagues (PMPL) around the world will decide the 20 teams that will compete in the PMGC. The format of the championship will be similar to season zero of the PMWL, which ended earlier this month.
The PMGC is indeed one of the biggest platform in the PUBG Mobile competitive world. In that light, the stage is saved for the best players and teams from all around the world. These are the teams who will battle it out for the top prize and promise us a whole lot of entertainment.
Considering the pandemic situation around that time, the presence of an on-site audience will be decided. However, most likely, it will be an online only event.
James Yang, the director of PUBG Mobile global esports at Tencent, said the company hoped to have a huge live audience for this event. But given the current COVID-19 situation, this “might” not be possible. The teams will be competing in multiple studios situated around the world.
