Grand Theft Auto games are getting visual upgrades
The HD remastered versions will meet today’s standards of visuals and gameplay.
“The Definitive Edition will feature across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals,” Rockstar said in the announcement.
The three games will be removed from digital retailers this week.
GTA III’s 20th anniversary
October 22 marks the 20th anniversary of GTA III’s launch. So far, the game has sold more than 14 million units and has grabbed a bunch of Game of the Year Awards as well, and remains a fan favorite GTA title. To celebrate the anniversary, Rockstar is bringing new events and special gear to obtain in GTA Online. More information on this will be revealed later.
Meanwhile, GTA Online is coming to next-generation consoles. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions were supposed to release on November 11, 2021, but were delayed to March 2022 for “a few additional months for polishing and fine-tuning.”
