Genshin Impact sheds some light on their upcoming update, this one’s said to be on the Island theme. They’ve already added clothes somewhat similar to those of Zelda and now another of their style is being nabbed here. With this new upcoming update, your traveller will have his own little boat that will allow him to sail around the islands while battling baddies and hunting for the hidden treasures. This island will also be including a bunch of mini-games as well as some collectibles to explore around with a new dungeon.
Mihoyo, the publishers for this open world adventure game released a trailer featuring this new update. Where you can spot a few mini-games, including sailing around and shooting off your cannons at the sea forts of Hilichurls. Sailing would be possible in the co-op mode at the time of the release, confirmed by the publishers.
Along with sailing, a variety of other features were also added to the game as the ‘Midsummer Island Adventure.’ Boating and gliding racecourse are also a part of it, while there’s also a beach game that sort of like a beach tennis against a ball machine. While they also bring out combat, forts were added around the beach boundary which needs to be cleared off the domain.
The best part here is, these Island events also bring their own in-game currency to earn and turn in for better rewards.
Although, Mihoyo also teased a look at the game’s next major zone Inazuma. Which appears as a collection of various Islands around the region. Though there’s no official release date for Inazuma, but there’s still plenty of time before it’ll be out officially.
As a part of their past programs, Mihoyo has rolled out some redeemable codes for in-game goodies and currency. Which will be expiring soon, use them while you still can.

This new Genshin Impact 1.6 update will be rolled out on 9th of June 2021,the official patch notes for the same will be out a day or two before the release date.
