Genshin Impact update 1.2 is live with new Dragonspine map
Genshin Impact’s latest update 1.2 which is dubbed as the “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon” update is live. The update was announced on December 12 on the PlayStation blog and it brings a new icy map to the game.
Genshin Impact was first released in singleplayer and multiplayer modes on September 28 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and on November 11 for PlayStation 5. The game will also be released on Nintendo Switch sometime in the future.
The new update 1.2 introduces us to a new map called Dragonspine. Dragonspine contains new areas that players can explore, new puzzles, and new quests. In the Subzero climate of Dragonspine, players will continuously accumulate Sheer Cold and if the Sheer Cold reaches it’s limit, players will start losing HP.
Players will also see the Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine. You can offer Crismson Agates that are scattered all over to the Frostbearing Tree for rewards. Levelling up the Frostbearing Tree will give you rewards like Acquaint Fate, Interwined Fate, a wind glider, Weapon blueprints, and Gadget blueprints. Two new characters Albedo and Ganyu are also introduced in with this update.
Players will get a change to try new weapons like Summit Shaper, Festering Desire which can be obtained by completing “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon” event, Snow-Tombed Starsilver, Dragonspine Spear, and Frostbearer.
New story quests and new world quests are also available with Update 1.2. Two new artifact sets- Blizzard Strayer and Heart of Depth can be obtained by challenging the new Domain of Blessing “Peak of Vindagnyr.”
