Ubisoft has finally revealed the release date for Far Cry 6. After being delayed due to complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Far Cry 6 is now releasing on October 7, 2021, on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Stadia.
In Far Cry 6, players will assume the role of Dani Rojas (players can choose Dani's gender- Male or Female), a guerilla fighter who has taken up the responsibility of liberating the island of Yara from the clutches of a fascist dictator, Anton Castillo (portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito). We learn more about Dani, Yara, and the features of Far Cry 6 in the latest gameplay footage.

From machine guns built using motorcycle engines to flamethrowers and grenade launchers, Dani will wield a variety of weapons in the fight to topple Anton and his tyrannical rule. The game also features a CD launcher whose function is pretty straightforward, launch razor-sharp CD's to slice through enemies. Far Cry 6 also offers several choices for travelling around Yara. Player's can get around on horseback, or ride custom build vehicles that can be obtained through black market dealers in the game.
The 'Fangs for Hire' feature from Far Cry 5 is back in Far Cry 6. Players can hire various animals for different jobs. For example, Chorizo the dog can be hired to transport equipment and a crocodile that can attack enemies on your command.
