Naughty Dog has released a performance patch for their acclaimed title The Last of Us Part 2. Patch 1.08 released on May 19, will allow PS5 users to choose two different framerates- either 30 or 60. In the announcement, Arne Meyer, Director of Communications at Naughty Dog says "you will find a toggle in the Display options that allows you to choose between a Framerate Target of 30 FPS or 60 FPS."
This was one of the most requested updates and it is free for everyone. It has enabled players to choose their preferred framerates to complement other features that are available to PS5 backward compatibility with PS4 games like enhanced resolution, faster load times, and more.
The Last of Us Part 2: A game with a gripping narrative
The Last of Us Part 2 came out for PlayStation 4 in June 2020. Since then, the game has received numerous awards for its story, animation, sound design, game direction, visuals, and more. The Last of Us Part 2 has received more than 300 Game of the Year Awards which is more than any other video game. The game won 6 awards in different categories at the 2020 Golden Joystick Awards.
The Last of Us Part 2 is an action-adventure game where the player is required to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. The game features an eerie atmosphere to keep your pulse racing. To progress, the player has to fight mutated monsters using an assortment of weapons. The Last of Us Part 2 also tests the player's platforming skills as jumping and climbing are required to traverse from one place to another.
All of these factors have made The Last of Us Part 2 one of the best video games.
