Indian esports organization Skyesports is back with its annual flagship esports tournament. The organization has announced Skyesports Championship 3.0 featuring multiple competitive esports titles and a larger-than-ever prize pool of Rs. 55,00,000. The previous edition of the tournament featured esports titles Valorant, Brawlstars, Clash of Clans, Rainbow Six: Siege, and World Cricket Championship Rivals and had a prize pool of Rs. 11,00,000.
Skyesports Championship 3.0 will not be limited to gamers from India. The organization is going international by expanding into other regions of South Asia like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
Other than the prize pool and regions, not a lot of information is available about Skyesports Championship 3.0. Fans can expect multiple esports titles this time too, but they are likely to be most excited about Valorant. Valorant was released exactly a year ago. This FPS game for PC attracted a massive audience and took the Indian gaming scene by storm. With new teams coming forward, the competitive scene as well as the game, continue to grow in the country.
Skyesports Championship first took place in 2019 at Phoenix Market City, Chennai on 23 and 24 March. It was a LAN tournament featuring a total prize pool of Rs. 3,00,000 and games like PUBG Mobile, World Cricket Championship Rivals, and Clash Royale. The organizer returned with the second edition in 2020 featuring an increased total prize pool of Rs. 11,00,000. It was held online and featured 5 titles as PUBG Mobile was banned.
