On June 2, 2020, Riot Games officially released Valorant for Microsoft Windows. Valorant entered into the first-person shooter games genre and was competing against the likes of CS:GO and Rainbow Six Siege. Today, Valorant boasts a massive player base and competitive scene that continues to grow, especially in India.
Apparently, Riot is now trying to bring the 5v5 game on Android and iOS devices. According to a report by IGN India, Valorant Mobile is under development. The report says "Valorant for Android and iOS is indeed in development. Sources at the company tell IGN India that Valorant Mobile as its tentatively named is on the way with the gaming giant trying to gauge which markets it would work in."
AFK Gaming rolled out another report saying dataminers had discovered “strings of code and a mobile UI" in the game. Back in March, prominent leaker PlayerIGN shared a video on his YouTube channel speculating that Valorant Mobile may be announced at the upcoming E3 2021.
Valorant Mobile release date
Even if Valorant Mobile is under development, don't expect a release date anytime soon. You may or may not get an announcement about the game's development from Riot but that will be it.
Currently, the competitive mobile gaming scene is dominated by PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, Clash of Clans, and Call of Duty: Mobile. Although PUBG Mobile is banned in India for 7 months, it might be close to making a comeback. PUBG Mobile India is also likely to be called Battlegrounds Mobile India. Here's how Battlegrounds Mobile India will be different from PUBG Mobile. Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends Mobile is also coming to Android and iOS devices soon.
