PUBG Mobile Pro League 2021 schedule revealed

PUBG Studio has revealed the schedule for the 2021 PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL). PMPL 2021 will feature seven new regions and a massive prize pool of $14 million, the highest for PUBG Mobile esports to date.

The seven new regions are North America, Brazil, LATAM, CIS, Turkey, Arabia, and Western Europe. A new ‘World Class’ tournament will also take place this summer where the top teams from all regions will compete head-to-head.

PMPL 2021 schedule

PMPL 2021 will include four regional championships: PMPL Southeast Asia Championship (PMPL SEA), PMPL Americas Championship, PMPL South Asia Championship, and PMPL EMEA Championship. 2021 PMPL SEA championship will take place in May. 2021 PMPL EMEA and 2021 PMPL Americas championship will take place in June. The four regional championships will lead to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) at the end of 2021.

“With the introduction of seven new leagues to the PMPL in 2021, PUBG MOBILE cements its position as one of the most diverse and largest mobile esports programs in the world,” the company said in a release.

Last month, Oppo announced that their Reno5 line of mobile phones (Reno5 Pro 5G and Reno5 5G) has become the official smartphone partner for PUBG Mobile esports in the Middle East and Africa in 2021. Oppo will now be involved with PUBG Mobile tournaments in the two regions.

PUBG Mobile in India

PUBG Mobile still remains banned in India. Players were hyped after Youtuber GodNixon Gaming stated that the Indian government has given a green signal for the comeback of PUBG Mobile, but the claim was not official. A representative from Krafton said that the information is not official according to his understanding. As of now, nothing can be said regarding PUBG Mobile's unban in the country.
