Earlier today, Sony held the April 2021 PlayStation State of Play stream revealing fresh gameplay footage of upcoming PS5 exclusive Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and gave an update on two indie titles. We were expecting updates on Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach but instead, we got exciting news about Among Us and Subnautica, and hey, we're not complaining.
April 2021 State of Play announcements
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
In the 16-minute gameplay video, fans got a glimpse of Nefarious City. Ratchet finds himself in this futuristic city looking for his tiny robot companion Clank. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will take full advantage of PlayStation 5's hardware and it is evident by the game's jaw-dropping visuals.
Ratchet was also seen using his Phantom Dash and wall-running skill to traverse from one place to another. The game includes a variety of weapons and PS5’s DualSense Controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback features promise for an enhanced combat experience.
Among Us is coming to PS4 and PS5
Innersloth's popular online game Among Us is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year. The game is already available to play on Windows, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. Among Us on PS4 and PS5 will include an exclusive Ratchet & Clank skin, hat, and pet. Among Us is also slated to release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles this year.
Subnautica: Below Zero release date for PlayStation consoles
