Deathloop release postponed to May 2021

Deathloop is an upcoming action-adventure game which was supposed to be a launch title for PlayStation 5. But now, according to the New Zealand PlayStation Store, the launch date has been pushed forward to May 2021.

Deathloop is being developed by Arkane Studios and will be published by Bethesda Softworks. This game will also be released for Microsoft Windows around the same time as the PS5 version, in singleplayer and multiplayer modes.

It was already decided, even before Microsoft bought out Bethesda, that as far as availability on consoles in concerned, Deathloop will be PlayStation 5 exclusive. Xbox head Phil Spencer also told Bloomberg that Deathloop will be times PS5 exclusive for at least a year before coming to Xbox.

Deathloop features two assassin's trapped in a time loop on Blackreef Island. The player character, Colt who has to escape the timeloop by assassinating 8 characters before the day ends and the loop resets. In singleplayer/campaign mode, the enemy character, Julianna is controlled by the AI but if you chose to play multiplayer, Julianna will be controlled by another player.

Deathloop is designed to run optimally on the PlayStation 5. It takes full advantage of the PS5's hardware and software capabilities to deliver the most immersive gaming experience. Arkane studios is known for designing visually appealing, aesthetic, and unique game environments and Deathloop is no different. The features a retro, 60's look on the exotic Blackreef Island.
