Cyberpunk 2077 delayed for the third time

Cyberpunk 2077 delayed for the third time

Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red's much-awaited action RPG which was set to release next month will now release in December. The release date has been pushed forward for the third time since the game was first announced. The new release date for Cyberpunk 2077 is December 10 2020.

The delay was announced on Twitter a few minutes ago and CDPR says they want to take this time to polish the game even further to deliver a high-quality product that will match players' expectations.

COVID19 is the culprit!

We knew that to keep up with the November 19 release date, CDPR ordered it's employees to work 6 days a week and due to COVID19, they were working from home. Ultimately, it seems like they won't be able to complete all the compatibility tests for all the platforms of release.

A couple of weeks ago in early October, CDPR announced that Cyberpunk 2077 had gone gold. This meant that the game was finished and was being sent to the CD printing press for physical copies to be rolled out.

This news of Cyberpunk 2077's release being postponed again will surely shatter a lot of hearts. Cyberpunk 2077 was less than one month away and everyone was getting more and more anxious as the date grew nearer.

CD Projekt Red has been giving us sneak-peeks and little details about Cyberpunk 2077 in their Night City Wire series. We are four episodes in and we know so much about the gangs, districts, and vehicles of Cyberpunk 2077.

CDPR also revealed the PC system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 during the Third Episode of Night City Wire.
