Valve has officially dropped the curtains on Operation Broken Fang in CS:GO. Operation Broken Fang went live on December 4, 2020, featuring various missions spread across 16 weeks. Upon completing each mission, players were rewarded with Operation Stars that were redeemable for various in-game items.
Even though week 16 ended on March 23, players were still able to purchase the Operation Pass and carry out all the missions. But they won't be able to do so anymore. Players who still have unspent Operation Stars have till May 15 to visit the reward store and spend the Operation Stars on exclusive items.
Thanks to everyone who took part in Operation Broken Fang. As of now the Operation has concluded. Players have until May 15th to spend Operation Stars.— CS:GO (@CSGO) May 3, 2021
We have a few updates today, beginning with the Active Duty Map Pool—Train has been removed and Ancient has been added.
New Case and new chicken models in CS:GO
With this update, Valve has added a new case in CS:GO. From today, the Snakebite Case will be dropped in-game containing 17 different community-designed weapons. The case will feature the Broken Fang Case set of gloves as rare special items.
The developer has also introduced new models for chickens in CS:GO. Players can now massacre brown, black and white, and completely black chickens in the game. Another major change that comes with this update is that Ancient has replaced Train in the active duty map pool. Apollo, Engage, and Anubis have been replaced by two new maps Grind and Mocha in Scrimmage, Casual, and Deathmatch game modes.
Apart from this, the developer has made various stability and security improvements in CS:GO. You can read the entire patch notes here.
