Earlier this month, Krafton announced Battlegrounds Mobile India, a battle royale game that will be available only in India. Krafton is launching this game 8 months after the Indian government banned the original PUBG Mobile.
Battlegrounds Mobile India is different than PUBG Mobile in many ways like the game will feature green bloodstains instead of red, exclusive outfits, and its own esports ecosystem. But what remains the same is most likely the maps. Battlegrounds Mobile India is likely to include the same maps like that of PUBG Mobile, i.e, Erangel, Sanhok, Miramar, and Karakin.

In the game's teaser, we got a glimpse of what looks like Miramar from the original game. Krafton also uploaded an artwork on BGMI's official Instagram handle and it appears to be the Ban Tai location on the Sanhok map. Yesterday, the game went live for pre-registration on the Google Play Store and the page shows locations similar to Erangel and Karakin. Erangel can be identified by the glider, and Karakin can be recognized by the dry landscape and the rounded bunker-style buildings on top of the hills.
Battlegrounds Mobile India pre-registration
Pre-registration for Battlegrounds Mobile India is live on the Google Play Store. Krafton has various rewards in store for players who pre-register for the game before launch. Android users are required to have a device with version 5.1.1 or up and at least 2 GB RAM. Krafton has not announced the release date for BGMI yet.
Krafton is likely to follow with an iOS release in the near future.
