Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids expansion pack delayed

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids expansion pack delayed

There's another 'delay' news from the gaming world. This time, it's Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first expansion pack Wrath of the Druids that is being delayed. Developer Ubisoft announced on Twitter that Wrath of Druids, which was supposed to come out this month, will now release on May 13.

Ubisoft has not mentioned the reason for the delay but if we have to take a guess, it's probably because of the COVID-19 and work from home situation. The developer will roll out an article to provide more details about the delay.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla post-launch roadmap

Assassin's Creed Valhalla came out in November 2020. But even before that, Ubisoft had revealed the post-launch roadmap of the game. The developer stated that AC: Valhalla will get a Seasonal Pass that will bring tons of new content to the game.

Seasonal Pass includes two expansion packs- Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris. Additionally, the pass includes in-game events like the traditional Viking Yule Festival, new settlement buildings and, a new game mode- River Raids. The Legend of Beowulf is an exclusive quest that is also available with the launch of Season 1 Pass.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla released in November 2020 for PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X/S. The had a record launch on PC in its first week. Upon release, the game was buggy but Ubisoft has released patches addressing those bugs and delivering a better gameplay experience.

The Wrath of the Druids DLC is coming out next month on May 13.
