Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy is just around the corner and today, the developers released patch notes for the same. Season 9 update which is dubbed as 'Legacy' update, is coming to Apex Legends on May 4.

We already know that Respawn is adding a new 3v3 mode called Arenas featuring 2 brand new custom-built maps, a new legend 'Valkyrie', and the Bocek Bow in Apex Legends with Season 9 update. Let's take a look at additional changes that are coming with this update.

Apex Legends Season 9 patch notes

Players will now get a starter kit at the beginning of a match. It will contain a level 1 Evo Shield, Helmet, Knockdown Shield, two Shield Cells, and 2 Syringes. Spawn chances for level 1 Evo Shields have been reduced and level 1 helmets and knockdown shields have been removed from the loot pool.

Different legends in the game are receiving buffs and nerfs with this update. For example, Fuse now has two stacks of Knuckle Cluster and the cooldown is reduced from 25s to 20s. The developer is also bringing emotes for every legend in the game. Each legend will have one emote unlocked at the launch of S9. Players can obtain additional emotes by crafting them or through Apex packs.

With the introduction of Bocek Bow, Apex Legends is getting a new weapons category. According to the patch notes, Marksman Category will feature "precision weapons that are most effective up to the medium-long range, and are the sort of in-betweens of Assault Rifles and Snipers."
