Apex Legends hits 100 Million plus unique users

Apex Legends hits 100 Million plus unique users

Apex Legends is a free to play battle royale game, developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. The game is available to play on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation 4. Apex Legends is planned to release for Android and iOS devices in 2022.

With its release in Februray 2019, Apex Legends came out a surprise from Respawn Entertainment as they were said to be working on a sequel to Titanfall, their previous major game. But Apex Legends came out huge as they surpassed over 25 million players by the end of its first week, and 50 million within its first month. By October 2019, it had approximately 70 million players and now by April 2020 they have successfully managed to get around 100 Million plus unique users.

Respawn Entertainment made an announcement on their twitter, Thanking their fans for helping Apex Legends hit this massive milestone, this tweet was accompanied by a montage of some of the most popular streamers and professional players.

Though after hitting 50 Million within the first month, the growth for Apex Legends slowed down a little but with these impressive Seasonal updates and Events happening around along with the launch of other platforms they did manage to pull off the 100 Million milestone.

According to the Steam Chats and Steam.DB, Apex Legends did peak over 200,000 concurrent players on Steam while Apex Legends also managed to get in the list of top-five most active games on Steam.  Though the 200,000 count only includes the players playing through Steam and excludes the ones playing on EA Games, Origin DRM or through other Consoles. Because of this, the actual player count is still questionable, but Apex Legends is getting popular and with the new Season 9 update that will be coming out on 4th of May 2020 there's a lot more coming out to be excited about.
