XDefiant unites four factions from other Tom Clancy games and features them as playable characters. Here’s everything we know so far.
Factions in Tom Clancy’s XDefiant
At launch, the game will have four following factions
- Wolves (Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon)- They act as the ‘Tanks’ with increased health pool and shielding abilities to protect the team.
- Echelon (Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell)- Echelon class characters will provide support to the team by providing them with valuable intel.
- Outcasts and Cleaners (Tom Clancy’s The Division)-Outcasts will take up the role of healers whereas Cleaners is an aggressive class with high damage capabilities.
Apart from a passive and secondary gadget, factions will have an ultimate ability called “Ultras”. We saw some of the abilities in the reveal like the Wolves’ dome shield, the Echelon’s unique goggles to locate enemies, Outcast’s healing beacon, and Cleaner’s flamethrower ultimate.
Ubisoft says more factions will be added post-launch.
