EA is reportedly set to announce a bunch of new installment of an established IP at the EA Play Event next month.
This news made its way through the GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb, where Grubb said “I don’t know everything, but I do know one thing, It’s that one – it’s the one – and we’re gonna see it… If we’re not dead first.”
“I’ll have to ask and see if, like, I could really start teasing that one,” he added. “I know there’s someone on ResetEra who has been teasing it a lot, so I feel like it’s probably close enough that I could start saying… but it’s going to be exciting, I think. It’s gonna be exciting. We’ll talk about it more pretty soon.”
Fans are already speculating the details based on a bunch of hints dropped. “if we’re not dead first” bit resembles some horror vibes, while many speculating it pertains to Dead Space. EA’s popular sci-fi series, that hasn’t seen anything new since Dead Space 3 that came out back in 2013.
Dead Space started off as an original and critically acclaimed horror game where you play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer trapped on a deserted spaceship with a bunch of aliens.
EA was also in the headlines for the Battlefield 2042 reveal at the E3 2021 event, following which the Battlefield 4 servers started flooding with new players.
To which the Publisher EA came out and said “it’s increasing server capacity and will continue monitoring queue times and make further adjustments as necessary”.
