Valve has announced a new schedule for this year’s The International. The 2021 TI will now be played from October 7 – October 17 in Bucharest, Romania at the Arena Nationala. The tenth edition of Dota2’s biggest tournament was initially supposed to be played in Stockholm, Sweden but last month, Valve announced that they were looking for another venue to host 2021 TI.
“We are grateful for the partnership we have formed with Romania and the city of Bucharest, and very much look forward to gathering with the global Dota 2 community, both in-person and virtually, to celebrate the elite players and amazing fandom at The International,” Valve said in a blog post.

TI 2021 format
Group Stages for TI10 will run from October 7 – October 10. The main event will kick off on October 12 with the grand finals scheduled to be played on October 17 where two teams will battle it out for the biggest share of the prize pool and coveted Aegis of Champions.
TI10 features a massive prize pool of $40,018,195. This amount was generated through a battle pass that Valve released last year as the 2020s The International was called off because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Valve also announced the Supporters Club where fans could support their favorite teams by purchasing bundles of badges and seasonal equippables. Teams will provide the Supporters Club content and 50% of the sales will go to the team of your choice. Supporter’s Club content will be available till the tournament begins.
