Demon’s Souls Remake to make extensive use of PS5’s video guides
In a recent UI reveal of the upcoming Sony Playstation 5, it was revealed that several games would give the player the option to watch walkthrough videos in PiP (picture-in-picture) mode, while their game is running. Now, it has been confirmed that Demon’s Souls is a game which will make extensive use of this feature.
According to reports, Demon’s Souls will consist of over 180 videos which can be accessed from the console’s Activity Bar and help gamers different areas of various levels.
Bluepoint Games is making use of the PS5’s activity bar
This feature was one of the most touted ones from the PS5 UI reveal earlier last month. Bluepoint Games, the developers behind the Demon’s Souls remake have made use of the feature.
As reported in , Demon’s Souls “will make use of the PS5’s activities UI, which offers helpful tips regarding certain tasks. Demon’s Souls remake creative director Gavin Moore went on to say that there are over 180 videos, each with increasing levels of visibility into what’s needed to complete portions of the game.”
In a game that solidified Souls like games- a game where you die repeatedly and have to encounter the same boss over and over again because the game is so hard, this feature is a literal lifesaver.
The help videos will lend you in on insightful tips and tricks on how to clear a level, maybe show off a boss’s weak points and more. This feature is completely optional- so the hardcore gamers can go in and experiment with their own combinations of attacks and more.
Another way the game will benefit on the PS5 is the loading time. In Demon’s Souls, you will die quite a lot and it is crucial to get into the action as soon as possible. With the onboard SSD of the PS5, loading screens will be a thing of the past.
