Kojima Productions and Sony have released Death Stranding Director’s Cut exclusively for the PlayStation 5 console. It’s available on the PlayStation Store in two editions-
Players can upgrade the PS4 version of Death Stranding to the Director’s Cut Digital Deluxe Edition for $10.

The Standard Edition contains only the base game whereas, with the Digital Deluxe Edition, players get a digital mini art book and mini soundtrack PlayStation 5 app, avatar set, new in-game suit colors x2 (gold and silver), new in-game power glove colors x2 (gold and silver), additional in-game BB Pod customization options x2 (gold and silver), and additional in-game backpack patches, along with the full game.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut brings a new racing game mode
To enhance the core gameplay experience, the game features Fragile Circuit, a new racing mode that includes series of challenges. Moreover, the developers are expanding on the game’s Social Strand System. It’s an online feature that allows players to help each other through the use of equipment, signs, or constructing bases for use and also stay connected in the game.
As Death Stranding Director’s Cut is built especially for the PlayStation 5 console, it features 3D Audio, faster load times, and immersive gameplay experience thanks to DualSense controllers haptic feedback and adaptive triggers features. The game also includes 2 picture mode options-
- Performance Mode- 60 FPS at upscaled 4K resolution.
- Fidelity Mode- offers native 4K.
