Norman Reedus, who portrays Sam Porter Bridges in the action game Death Stranding has confirmed that Death Stranding 2 is on the way, reports IGN Brazil.

It’s unclear if Reedus was referring to an actual sequel or the PlayStation 5 exclusive Death Stranding: Director’s Cut that is scheduled to release on September 24, 2021.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut to include enhanced graphics and new features
With the upcoming PS5 exclusive Director’s Cut, developer Kojima Productions offers remastered visuals and better performance. Moreover, it will bring new weapons, vehicles, missions, and new areas to explore on the map.
They are also bringing the Social Strand System which is an online feature that will allow players to help each other through the use of equipment, signs, or constructing bases for use. The Director’s Cut will also include a racing mode called Fragile Circuit that includes a series of challenges. Additionally, the game will bring 3D Audio, faster load times, and immersive gameplay by making use of PS5’s next-generation hardware. It will also present PS5 users with 2 picture mode options-
- Performance Mode- 60 FPS at upscaled 4K resolution.
- Fidelity Mode- offers native 4K.
Both support HDR.
Those who own the PS4 version of Death Stranding can upgrade to the Director’s Cut Digital Deluxe Edition for $10. In the announcement post, the developer also confirmed that “PlayStation 4 console save data will be transferable” to the Director’s Cut.
