CD Projekt Red plans on releasing Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion sometime in 2023. In their latest earnings call, CEO Adam Kicinski stated that while the game continues to get updates, the team is also working on the expansion and it’s scheduled to release in 2023. “Right now, the bulk of our team is working on the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion that is targeted to be released in 2023,” he said. We don’t know much about the expansion except that it’s being developed on the REDengine, and not the newly launched Unreal Engine 5 which will be used for the new Witcher game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S
Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 made its way on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in February as a free upgrade. It comes with visual enhancements, dynamic scaling, activity cards for PS5, and a bunch of other technical improvements. These are geared towards providing the user a better gaming experience.

We have a lot of updates coming from CDPR this year. Apart from sharing additional information on the expansion, they will work on the development of Witcher 3 on next-generation consoles. The game was delayed indefinitely and won’t release in its previous Q2 window.
Further support for CP2077 is also planned. “We’ve recently released a new set of improvements for Cyberpunk, and we are also working on the next update, 1.6, which will be out in the coming months,” CEO Adam Kicinski said.
